18 medals awarded to Georgian wines at MUNDUS VINI 2018 Spring Tasting

28.02.2018 (Hvino News). Record-breaking 18 Georgian wines have won top gold and silver awards at prestigious competition MUNDUS VINI International Wine Award 2018 in Germany:

The gold prizes were awarded to:

The silver medals were awarded to:

This 2018's Spring Tasting results are better for Georgian winemakers compared to last year's results, when only 7 gold and 2 silver medals were awarded to Georgian wines (read more here)

Most of the wines submitted for tasting are from Italy (1,700) followed by Spain (1,400), as well as by France (750) and Portugal (700).


The award-winning wines from the Spring Tasting will be presented at the MUNDUS VINI Tasting Area at ProWein in Düsseldorf, the world's largest wine trade fair, from 18 to 20 March 2018. The wines awarded with a special award will also be honoured at a prestigious award ceremony on the first day of the exhibition. The MUNDUS VINI board will personally hand over the certificates to the wineries.

The MUNDUS VINI International Wine Award is one of the most prestigious wine awards in the world.  The Wine Award process takes place twice a year, in spring and late summer.
