Abashidze waiting for responding steps from Russia

02.11.1012. Minister of Agriculture of Georgia says the negotiations with the Russian government would begin soon to discuss the return of Georgian wine and mineral water to the Russian Federation. Minister commented on the issue after the Prime Minister appointed former ambassador to Russia, Zurab Abashidze as his personal representative for the regulation of Georgia-Russia relations.

Zurab Abashidze says that Moscow will be officially informed about yesterday`s decision and afterwards, Georgian side will be waiting for responding steps.

`Now the main thing is to get the reaction from Russia. Yesterday`s decision will be sent to Moscow via diplomatic ties and afterwards, we`ll be waiting for their reaction. We wish their reaction were positive and only afterwards, we`ll contact the Russian side to agree on format of meetings and negotiations,` Zurab Abashidze said.
