Russia’s Chief Sanitary Doctor, whose name is associated with the imposition of the trade embargo against Georgia, has resigned. Tbilvino's Director General explains that Russia used the Russian Sanitary Service as an instrument by means of which blocked the Georgian products. According to Giorgi Margvelashvili, trade relations between Georgia and Russia are regulated by political relations and not by the sanitation department.
Tbilvino's position is shared by Badagoni company. Director of the company said that Gennady Onishchenko’s resignation will not affect trade relations between Russia and Georgia in terms of wine. Giorgi Shengelia believes that only political decisions have an influence on the wine business in relations with Russia.
