27.02.2013 (Hvino News) Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All Georgia met with representatives of Russia's Rospotrebnadzor, who are in Georgia to inspect the Georgian wine and mineral water manufacturers seeking permission to supply their products to Russia, in his residence on Wednesday.
Ilia II expressed his satisfaction with the fact that Georgian wine and mineral water will return to the Russian market, the press service for the Georgian Patriarchate has reported.
"The Patriarch believes this fact will contribute to the settlement of the complex relations between Russia and Georgia," the press service reported.
Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II graduated from the Moscow clerical seminary and Moscow clerical academy. He criticized President Saakashvili on many occasions and stands for improvement of relations with Russia.
