Hollywood success of Georgian wine documentary

02.03.2017 (Hvino News). The documentary “Prime Meridian of Wine” shot by Georgian Sommelier Association won 5 nominations at Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards (HIIDA):

• Award for “Best producer” – Shalva Khetsuriani
• Award for “Best Scenario” – Tamar Bartaia
• Award for “Director of Century” – Nana Jorjadze
• Award for “Best Operator” – Mikheil Kvirikadze
• Award for “Best Actor” – Revaz Khetsuriani

The documentary has already won two awards: Best International Movie of the Year at the International Film Festival MOST 2016 in Spain, and at the Wine Film Festival Oenovideo in France it was awarded with special prize of the Best Oenological Movie of the Year. The film was financed by Marani Khetsuriani with the support of the National Wine Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.

HIIDA Awards is a monthly film festival with quarterly live screening in Hollywood exclusively for documentaries.
