Georgia's overall performance in 2015 was average, comparable to results of 2013 and 2012, when Georgia won 15 and 12 IWC awards respectively, and no gold awards. But in 2014 Georgia achieved huge success with 32 awards including gold (see more detail here).
Called "the most comprehensive and influential blind wine tasting competition in the world", the International Wine Challenge (IWC) is owned by William Reed Business Media, and is now in its 32nd year. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges and awards include medals (Trophy, Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Commended and Great Value awards.
